Q: When are trash and recyclable materials collected?
A: Trash and recyclables are collected every Wednesday morning. If Wednesday is a holiday, trash is collected on the following day (Thursday).
Q: Am I required to separate recyclable materials?
A: No. Trappe Borough is proud to offer single-stream recycling.

Q: Do I need a permit for electrical work?
A: Trappe Borough does not issue permits for electrical work. However, if you are adding a new electrical service, or extending or otherwise altering an existing electrical service, the work must be reviewed and certified by a third party inspector.
Q: What is the maximum fence height, and can a fence be installed on my property line?
A: A fence can be up to six feet tall when located in a side yard or rear yard, and up to four feet tall when located in a front yard. And while the Borough does not require a fence to be setback from a property line, the Borough strongly recommends installing your fence at least one foot removed from the property line.
