Real Estate Tax
Trappe Borough does not have a real estate tax. Please note, however, that real estate taxes are still assessed by the Perkiomen Valley School District and Montgomery County, and Trappe Borough collects on their behalf.
Earned Income Tax
A 1.4% earned income tax is levied on wages, salaries and various other compensation. Most of the revenue from this tax, 0.9% of income, is taken by the Perkiomen Valley School District.
Local Services Tax
Trappe Borough levies an annual $52 tax from employees working in the Borough.
Tax Collection
The Earned Income Tax and Local Services Tax are collected by Berkheimer Associates. The Real Estate Tax, though ultimately delivered to the county and school district, is collected by Gretchen Lawson, the Tax Collector for the Borough of Trappe.
