Build Day Success!
Build Day was cold and wet, but a great success! 250 volunteers from the community and PECO came out to finish the playground, benches, garden, and spread a few hundred tons of mulch! A big thank-you to everyone and congratulations!Community Donors
PECO funded the large majority of the project in memory of Mike Killian, an employee who died in an accident two years ago. PECO also brought along more than a hundred volunteers to make it happen. Many thanks to PECO!!Other donors:

About the Project
KaBOOM! is non-profit that encourages children's play and community spirit through the volunteer-led construction of neighborhood playgrounds. They match corporate sponsors with groups that are willing to come together and actually perform the construction as a community event.In this project, KaBOOM! has joined with PECO Energy to provide near $70K toward new playground equipment and surroundings at Water Works Park. PECO is sponsoring the project as a memorial to Mike Killian, an employee who was killed while working two years ago.
