Trappe Borough is proud to provide comprehensive trash, recycling, and compost services to its residents. This is paid from the borough budget so that residents do not need to contract for trash collection individually.
TRASH COLLECTION
Trappe Borough provides trash services to all private homes. Businesses and residences of more than two units are excluded.
- Residents are permitted to place up to three 30-gallon trash containers per week at the curb.
- Bulk items are collected on the last Wednesday of March, June, September and December.
- No yard waste, tires, hazardous waste, construction material or liquids are allowed.
BULK PICKUP
We have bulk pick ups 4-times a year, always the last Wednesday of the quarter.
RECYCLING
The recycling container is a special bin provided by the borough. Residents are urged to recycle newspapers (either tied or placed in paper/plastic bags) aluminum and metal cans, rigid plastic and glass containers.
SCHEDULE
Trash/recycling pickups are collected each Wednesday starting at 5:00 AM.
